Confucius Nations Ingroups Versus Outgroups
The Confucius nations are nations that have been heavily impacted by Chinese culture and the method of Chinese governance, often referred to as Confucianism, which has spread to South Korea, North Korea, Vietnam, and the Japanese islands, are all classified as Confucius nations.
All of these nations have been heavily influenced by Chinese society and culture.
It is visible from how they behave and govern their society with the social and political constructs heavily influenced by China.
These nations are heavily influenced by an in-group versus outgroup mentality.
Any failure on the part of the individual within society is viewed not just as a personal failure but as a failure that negatively impacts not just themselves but also their family and the area where they are from.
That’s why during World War II, Japanese soldiers and other military personnel such as the kamikaze’s and ground forces would fight to the last man because suffering a defeat is not just a personal disgrace.
It’s a disgrace that dishonours not just themselves but everybody they associate with.
Western soldiers and European peoples had no issue surrendering.
