For China with it not being a liberal and free society but emphasis on free it Waits to be seen whether or not they can innovate

So far China has copied the West but have not made great leaps in technology or other innovations

You need freedom to speak and freedom of thought to do that

I reminded from my time at University how Chinese students with terrified to talk about anything political

It made it hard to build connections with them due to how guarded they are

I think the USA with out the advantages of coming of age during the industrial Revolution which started in 1769

Then the US may have been divided into multiple kingdoms or republics

Or have the same issue as China being long United must divide and long divided must be reunited
