For me I wouldn't count writing as passive the income generated is passive but the actual work of writing is work

It takes doing research even if it's just watching a few YouTube videos, there's also the practice and the skill of writing

Same goes to people who own property they've got to have a team maintaining the properties and if necessary collecting rents

Same for medium they need programmers and over staff members to keep the site running
