Geopolitics: Canada’s Future

Canada’s future is irrefutably linked to that of its southern and much more powerful neighbour, the United States of America, which irrefutably, since the mid-19th century, has dominated the North American continent with its military power and economic might.

To give you some perspective, the United States of America has a population of over 339 million people. In contrast, Canada has a population of around 38 million people, with 20% of those people being immigrants to Canada.

According to the geopolitical analyst Peter Zilhen, it was 20 years ago that Canada ran out of young people to sustain its population.

The solution the Canadians took was to use immigration; otherwise, they would be facing the same crisis in terms of demographics which the Germans are currently facing.

Perhaps some perspective, the average age of a German is 44.7 years, which means Germany is facing a permanent demographic decline and the destruction of the German ethnic group due to the Germans running out of children over 30 years ago, and now they’re ringing out of grown-up adults.

Again, I shall reiterate that the Canadians, just like the British, view immigration as a way to strengthen their population; however, like the British, the Canadians do not build enough houses to grow their population.

Furthermore, policies have not been implemented to stimulate social policies of pro-motherhood, pro-fatherhood and building an economic environment where people…
