Houthi terrorists have been targeting international shipping in the Red Sea since 2016.

The Iranian regime backs them and, according to Peter Zihan, is the most incompetent terrorist organisation that has been produced in the Middle East.

According to Zihan, the only reason they’re so successful in that part of the world is because the state of Yemen is a failed state and the reason why regional powers such as Saudi Arabia and other powers not based in the region will not intervene.

After all, the location will become a quagmire.

We can think of the United States 20 years of failure in trying to transform Afghanistan from a tribal neo-mediaeval society into a Western liberal democracy as a colossal failure, and any attempts to replicate that project will become a failure within the region.

The regime changers in Germany and Japan after World War II were so successful because the governing institutions and the people that ran the state and its infrastructures were still alive at the end of the Second World War in 1945.

Also, Japan and Germany were industrial nations, with the Japanese and the Germans industrialising in the late 19th century.
