The USA if it's wants to interact with the rest of the world it must have a powerful navy and acting as a maritime power

The USA has the advantage of being a continental power and maritime powers also stating the obvious the

USA has no rivals in the North American continent

The US also due to the destruction of world War 2 its power was greatly boosted artificially and when the nations of Europe and Asia started to recover

It reduced the American share of power global just in a similar way British power began to diminish from the 1860s onward

Due to European Nations catching up to the British who were the world's first industrial nation

Which again inflated Britain's share of international power

The USA will always be a very powerful nation as long as it is united it's just it will have to contend with regional powers and other great powers

But with that stated having a strong navy costs a lot of money and not many nations have the financial resources to properly invest

In a military which you can he in the cast of ships in the early 20th century compared to what has to be paid out in the 21st century

I've also read about the costs of drones increasing by $200 which is known costing the ukrainians 600 dollars for a drone compared to the $400

It was a view months ago
