I don't see the point of getting married unless you are going to have children

I would say that if you are an academic, artist which those two professions there is overlap as well other high performance possessions

That it's very possible to find meaning and value in your life through your works

As for marriage it means different things for different generations

If you were somebody from the Western world particularly from the global North then marriage does not it really convey benefits

Because we have made it redundant at the least for the wealthiest of society who don't need the protection of the institution

Unlike people's from lower social economic status

A woman who is a lawyer does not need a man to hold the door for her

But if it's a working class woman from a blue collar background then a man holding a door for her could be adjacent

For that man not hitting his wife or girlfriend I do believe that social norms play a part in policing different peoples behavior
