In England they used to be slave markets during the North sea trade to Scandinavia during the Viking age

Then you got the atrocities committed by Willie and the conqueror and the Normans after and during the Norman conquest

They exterminated the old English culture

But nobody really cares anymore I do understand the argument you are making that women should not be forced into marriages

And I 100% agree with you but I don't think people will care about peasants over half a millennia ago
