I suppose it depends on whether or not you are believing generational crimes

Nobody who is alive today was actually a live to day who was a slave

And the topic of slavery is all so incredibly complex it wasn't just the French, Spanish, Portuguese an english-speaking peoples

That were involved in the slave trade was also the Arab slave trade and slaves that were used within Africa itself

None of that excuses what happened it's just that it's not the case of white man evil and everybody else good

Most people don't really know history and those who do we don't know everything we just know a small sliver

The average person reads between 12 and 9 books a year

Reading one book on slavery, feminism, racism, history does not make a person an expert

I do agree that in an ideal world they should have been given reparations after the end of the civil War

As for the impact of Jim crow I do believe that there is a case to be made for the people's who actually lived under Jim crow

A lot of them particularly the boomer generation and greatest generation will most likely mostly be dead within the next 20 years

It's getting a bit late to provide at the very least an apology
