I think that academically or could say people who are well read can accept multiple truths and the complexity of the world

For the general public they need simply crafted grand narratives without those grand narratives society has disorder

So what I wonder is being supportive of one country's grand narrative is that harmful to your own nation in regards

To its own grand narratives

Some people can accept the good and bad things about their nation's history and could understand the same in others

It's like the great American presidents that are part of the USA grand narratives have good and bad points

What I wonder is if the public is capable of holding multiple conflicting beliefs which are both are many equally true and equally false
