I think the USA is going through a nationalistic and protectionist moment in its history

It's happened before and it will happen again and it's not helped with the political factions within the United States moving around

Only twice in America's history did that lead to war and that was the American civil War and the American War of independence

Until the United States goes through this crisis of internal political division it's foreign policy will be schizophrenic
