I would say it's geopolitical and we run the world economic systems Which have been designed by maritime powers

As in the British and Americans who invented international law in order to facilitate trading though the Dutch started the process

The global economy at least the successful economy and it's model is the model of maritime powers not continental powers

The Russian actions in Ukraine is a perfect example of the behavior of continental powers which seek Conquest and wealth through that method

Maritime powers seek to build trading Empires which needs international law, free trade and Alliance systems

The USA is the master if this and the British before them
