I would say that women on average are smaller and weaker than the average man so they would be worried about bean hammed

Even if there is no actual threat there's many a time when I've walked home in the dark where a woman moves to the side or crosses the street

To avoid being near a male stranger

For me I try to go to the other side of the road but she tends to do the same so we end up zigzag on to different paths
