I would say the medieval ages did it truly end until the mid 19th century in places in Central and Eastern Europe

That's when the industrial Revolution kicked in and we have the impacts of the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars

Starting to have an effect

The places like Western Europe I would say the modern world started sooner particularly the home of modernity and the home of the industrial Revolution

Being the British isles which I would argue is the world's first proto nation state
