It the language barrier I'm very fascinated with Chinese history and culture but I don't currently speak mandarin are there dialects

I would say it take 10 years to really get to know a different nation but it depends on how well you integrate and are welcomed into the culture

Marry in somebody from a different country is also a great way to experience their culture
