It was only just over 33 years ago that most of Central in Eastern Europe was controlled by the Russians

In a dictatorship and a regime that persecuted his own citizens could not offer a better quality of life compared to the west

So having gain their independence it makes a lot of sense that Central European and eastern European Nations

Will be terrified of Russian expansionism especially Poland who was partitioned by the Russians first in the late 18th century which saw the destruction of Poland

And again by the Soviet Union and that's the Germany in 1939

Then pole from 1945 to 1989 lost their freedom to the Russians
