It's not really the social norm you cannot say men and women are different in the workplace

I have a boss who speaks to a young employee as if she is his daughter

Due to the age cap, life experience differences and the fact is daughter is close to her age

Because in the corporate environment anything that is not totally professional is inappropriate

Not that he is doing anything wrong it's just the pitch of his voice is different in comparison in how he talks to everybody else
