My understanding of Republic voting base is its religious America, big business and social conservatives which don't have much in common

And that why the Republics could win elections because their voters turn out and their is not really anything to fight on

Big business has been moving to the democrats since the 1990s

As for the democratic party it casts a wide net making it harder for a smart candidate like Hillary Clinton to run

Because anything of substance is hard to get them to vote and why Bill Clinton and the Barack Obama

Where so successful
