Nobody unless they study history understand the context was from 1500 onwards until the Battle of Waterloo in 1815

Where long and drawn out affairs it's was the 23 years of War in Europe which was called the great war by people from the 19th century

From 1793 to 1815

And on the 18th century there was the fight over the balance of power of Europe with the States fighting for who will rule the Europe

Is very similar to the millennium long conflict over who will rule China before unification in 221 BC

I would say it's very much Germany's fault and particularly the Kaiser Otto Von Bismarck after 1871 wanted to avoid War

For Germany as an expanding power and due to being in central Europe any expansion would lead to making everybody nervous

You do make me think of turning this topic into an article more me it won't be coming out until may

I would be interested in reading your take
