The Election of Donald Trump and The Impact on the Ukraine War
On 05–11–2024, Donald Trump was restored to power.
He may stop supporting the Ukrainian War effort against the Second War of Russia aggression launched by the Russian Federation on 24 February 2022.
Ukraine, since the start of the fighting, has lost over 80,000 soldiers, according to Al Jazeera, and according to reporting by the USA, sources indicate that Russia has had 120,000 deaths and 170,000 to 180,000 injuries.
A return of Trump to the White House could be a problem because, during his time as President, when he was the 45th President of the USA from 2016 to 2020, he stated many times that he had great respect for Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.
This would only give the wrong impression in diplomatic circles, with the leader of the free world being best buds with leaders who are anti-western and anti-the current global order, which has been in power since 1945.
As for Ukraine, during Trump's re-election campaign, he stated he would end the war in Ukraine, that he would not be supporting Ukraine against Russia and that Ukraine would need to give up its sovereign border to Russia as part of a peace deal.
Trump has also threatened to stop supporting Ukraine if they don't take a peace deal and, during the campaign, suggested that he would cut off military and other aid to Ukraine, which has been fighting Russia since 2014 the First Invasion of Ukraine in 2014.
