The US public have no interest in another war in the middle East and the USA are in an election year

The American military do distance but not mountains according to the US military

The USA as the protector of global trade will need to deploy ships to protect that trade that means fighting Houthis

And threaten that trade

If American stops protecting international trade it will mean other powers would start writing their own foreign policy
