TV and Movies Are Not Real, So Stop Living Your Life as a Soap Opera
Modern culture is bombarding people on a day-to-day basis with how they should live their lives, and movies and TV shows portray a false view of the useless father and working mother and that relationships and families are a burden.
Popular entertainment TV shows try to get as many eyeballs on screens as possible, and the only way to do that is with entertaining material and highly entertaining content — portraying healthy family situations would just be boring.
TV shows such as Sex Life, which is released on Netflix, portray a woman who is having a secret affair with her ex-boyfriend and, at the same time, has a loving husband who is also the father of their children.
This show shows relationships constraining and gives the illusion that a woman and a man can have it all.
They can have it all, but not all at the same time.
Also, negative behaviours like not taking responsibility are highly promoted with entertainment because it sells products and services.
Always be aware that movies, TV shows, and other forms of entertainment are done by people who want something from you; they want your time and money.
