Ukraine War: Robotics and AI Warfare
Ukraine conflict has been an ongoing conflict since the first Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, and the low-level conflict continued until Russia’s second invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Since that time, the Ukrainians have been fighting the colossus of the Russian War machine, bearing down on them in the hopes of sniffing out Ukrainian independence and their birth of nationhood, which is being born due to the Russian’s very act of aggression.
The long-term impact of this is permanently separating the Ukrainian and Russian peoples forever.
The Ukrainians don’t have the artillery, numbers or traditional military equipment to fight the Russians conventionally.
The Ukrainians are instead fighting the war unconventionally by developing advanced robotics and AI software capable of fighting the Russian war machine.
Ukrainian drones have already successfully managed to gutter the Russian Black Sea fleet, sinking over 24 Russian ships and causing the Russian fleet to withdraw from the area or face destruction at the hands of Ukrainian drones.
This is all being done successfully thanks to innovations from the Ukrainian People, with over 250 start-ups dedicated to developing robotics and AI software.
Ukraine innovators are developing pilotless drones that can operate independently of users.
According to the Associated Press, they also created bodysuits that soldiers could use on the battlefield.
Also, entrepreneurs like Andrii Denysenko are building an uncrewed ground vehicle called the Odyssey in four days at a shed used by the company.
Its key feature is the price tag: $35,000, or roughly 10% of the cost of an imported model.
