Ukraine War Update: Russian Meatgrinder Continues

The Ukraine War has been ongoing for over 29 months since the start of the Ukraine war, with the Russians invading northern, southern and eastern Ukraine in an attempt to conquer the sovereign independent state of Ukraine starting with the invasion In February 2022.

That invasion marks the second invasion of Ukraine within a decade.

The first invasion took place in 2014 when the Russians seized the Crimea peninsula and Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, Mykolayiv, and Zaporizhzhya Oblasts.

The Russians face significant challenges in conquering Ukraine for two reasons.

The first is that the Ukrainian military has had a decade to prepare for Russia’s second invasion.

The second reason is that the 10-year conflict, which proceeded with the Russian invasion and attempted conquest of the whole of Ukraine in 2022, has enabled the Ukrainian People to develop a separate, independent political and cultural identity from Russia.

This could be an analogy of the American War of Independence from 1775 to 1783, when the People of the 13 colonies that used to be part of the British Empire severed their ties with the home island and established an utterly separate governing system and political identity, permanently separating both of those peoples.
