USA Congress Blocking Aid to Ukraine

The United States of America, from 24 January 2022 until 31 October 2023, provided Ukrainians with financial and material aid to help them in their war effort against the Russian Federation, which has been in ongoing conflict since 2014 and a full-scale war since 22 February 2022.

In the time given above, the total aid given to Ukraine amounts to $75.4 billion.

The Joe Biden administration also in December announced that they would be sending an aid package which amounts to $250 million, which also includes equipment comprising of a package of arms includes Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, additional Himars ammunition, Javelin and AT-4 anti-armour systems as well as artillery and small arms ammunition.

The Joe Biden administration has assisted Ukraine in resisting Russian aggression since August 2021.

Furthermore, it was the United States of America that forewarned in late 2021 and early 2022 that the Russians were gearing up for an invasion of Ukraine.

Resources and Funding

According to reporting by Al Jazeera, Ukrainians are struggling to have enough ammunition and artillery shells to keep up with the Russian Federation, who have deeper stockpiles of military equipment.
