USA Deploys Troops to the Middle East
Since the start of the Hamas-Israel war, starting on October 7, 2023, the conflict has spread throughout the Middle East, already involving Syria, Iraq, Yemen and possibly other regions of the conflict. It continues to draw in other regional powers.
The United States of America in response to this crisis and Houthi terrorists from Yemen’s attack on shipping in the Gulf of Aden and the Persian Gulf, the United States deployed 3000 extra naval personnel and Marines to the region.
This could be the beginning of mission creep in the United States of America, which has happened historically with the Vietnam War from 1955 to 1975, with American involvement going as far back as 1948 due to the mission creep happening.
Mission creep is where military action takes place in a nation or other territory outside, for example, the United States of America. Eventually, more men and materials keep being deployed to that region due to the demands of military operations.
The Americans will get involved in the Middle East conflicts in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea because oil from Saudi Arabia and other Middle states must pass through the Gulf of Aden and travel to the rest of Europe through the Suez Canal.
Therefore, if the Americans are to continue as the global military leader of Western nations and have greater diplomatic and military leverage, the United States must honour its commitment to the alliance network the USA built to win the Cold War between…
