Why Marriages Don’t Have Status in Modern Culture

In today’s modern culture, everybody who may be reading today’s article would not have escaped your notice that modern TV shows, movies, and other forms of entertainment, such as celebrity and online social media, are saturated with content that demonises marriages and lionised being single.

This is because being in a happy marriage, a healthy relationship, and a content life is not very interesting when it comes to storytelling and making money.

Still, we forget that the movies we watch are all about selling people’s products and services.

Nobody goes to a movie and watches TV shows about happy couples who don’t face adversity because it’s not entertaining.

A Pregnant Woman Getting Married

What we all need to recapture is that entertainment is not reality.

Humans see the world, and our subconscious minds see it as a reality.

If you read content that is toxic and that is harmful to building a successful marriage, or if you are repeatedly told that being married is a sign of low status and is not based on reality.

It is often people who are well off who are in marriages that talk the talk of the liberal, but they live the life of conservatives with a happy and monotonous marriage.
