Welcome back to today’s article, inspired by a comment by Anna Kent, particularly her comment on my article called Men Are Emotionally Dependent on a Woman.

Anna’s recommendation of the article “ Renowned Therapist Explains The Crushing Effects Of Patriarchy On Men And Women Today “ by Forbes senior contributor Kathy Caprino has sparked a deep dive into this thought-provoking piece.

Here is a summary of the article written by Kathy Caprino.

Please be aware that my summarising of her argument within the article is a subjective view of my view of her writing.

If you wish to form your own opinion, click on the link above and read her article.

So, let’s begin my understanding of her argument in a nutshell: the patriarchy has suppressed women and men from being themselves.

Men are forced to behave in a stereotypically masculine way, and women are forced to behave in a stereotypical family way.

Just think of the Kardashians and a stereotypical southern housewife from the movies.

As for men, they are meant to be Stoics like Marcus Aurelius and the teachings of Jordan Peterson, who advocates men suppressing emotion and taking responsibility when it comes to getting a woman.

When it comes to Dr. Jordan Peterson’s arguments, I would say he is half right but also half wrong.
